A research report produced with the Roma-Lom Foundation maps what Roma communities in Romania and Bulgaria need from employment institutions — and where those institutions fall short.

The research was carried out as part of the project promoting the effective implementation of objective 5 of the new EU Roma strategic framework — equal access to quality and sustainable employment — in Romania and Bulgaria.

It was implemented by REDI in partnership with the Roma-Lom Foundation in Bulgaria and funded by the European Commission.

Data collection combined community surveys with interviews inside public employment institutions, so the report reads from both directions: what people need, and what the institutions responsible for meeting that need are currently able to do.
