  • Radisson Blu Hotel Bucharest, Romania 09:00 – 16:30

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), together with the Romanian Diversity Chamber of Commerce (RDCC), is holding the second Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) regional conference, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Central and Eastern Europe: Today and Tomorrow, at the Radisson Blu Hotel Bucharest on Wednesday 29 June 2022, from 09.00 to 16.30.

The conference will be an all-day event, including presentations and panel discussions, followed by a networking reception.

Join us at this conference to discuss the deep-rooted barriers that are worsening the economic and social crisis across central Europe and beyond, and learn more about tools to promote equality of opportunity.

The D&I regional conference will identify and address emerging economic inclusion challenges in central and eastern Europe, particularly given the context of the current war on Ukraine. It will also explores solutions driven by the private sector under equal opportunities-related policies and practices across operations and skills development strategies. The conference aims to build understanding on the following topics by:

  • Raising awareness of the economic implications of large-scale shocks (for example, armed conflicts, digitalisation, climate change), as well as taking stock of the emerging challenges in promoting diversity and inclusion.
  • Discussing key issues that face the private sector around equality, diversity and inclusion, and providing relevant advice to address these issues.
  • Recognising the importance of wider diversity and equality in the future, especially for refugees, women, Roma, LGBTI and people with disabilities.
  • Demonstrating the value of creating diverse and equal practices to facilitate peer-learning, through sharing best practices in the business landscape.

Registration before the event is required and only registered participants will be guaranteed a space. Further information will be sent out closer to the event.
